Weak to strong neuronal cytoplasmic immunostaining in a few distinct neuronal populations.
Namely, neurons in the parabrachial area, dorsal raphe, periaqueductal gray matter, entorhinal cortex-subiculum, some pontine nuceli, olfactory bulb mitral cells exhibit moderate-weak staining. Scattered neurons in the locus coeruleus, medial amygdala (and, in less extend, in other amygdala nuclei as well), in the tuberal hypothalamus, BNST and in the ventral pallidum exhibit strong cytoplasmic staining.
Choroid plexus, pia mater and vessel walls in pia mater are also stongly immunoreactive.
Positive cells and structuresi
Manually selected location of the protein positivity, observed by immunofluorescence staining in mouse brain.
