Moderate intensity axonal immunostaining throughout the entire olfactory bulb (all layers) and forebrain (except for the thalamus where only the paraventricular and centromedial nuceli exhibit immunoreactivity). In the brainstem, the moderate axonal immunostaining is more restricted to certain selected nuclei.
Especially strong axonal staining is noticed in the nucleus accumbens (core), multiple amygdala nuclei, thalamic paraventricular nucleus, hypothalamic dorsomedial-, paraventricular-, periventricular- and arcuate nuclei, dorsal raphe, locus coeruleus, n. tractus solitariii and n. dorsal vagi.
Area postrema is also highly immunoreactive (axonal staining).
Strong cytoplasmic neuronal cell body staining is noticed in a subset of neocortical-, hippocampal and caudate putamen neurons.

Manually selected location of the protein positivity, observed by immunofluorescence staining in mouse brain.
