Annotation summary Widespread and general, moderate/strong-intensity diffuse/synaptic-type immunostaining is noticed throughout the entire forebrain and midbrain. The staining is particularly strong in the lateral septum, anterior hypothalamus and the hippocampus mossy fibers. In the pons and medulla, the staining is rather restricted to certain gray matter areas, like the dorsal part of medulla, around the fourth ventricle.
