General neuronal cytoplasmic and occasionally dendritic immunoreactivity throughout the brain with various signal intensities. Stronger in lateral septum, globus pallidus, hypothalamus (especally in PVN), some thalamic nuclei and the cerebellar Purkinje-cells. In the brainstem, in contrast to the forebrain, the neuronal cytoplasmic staining intensity is generally high in most nuclei.
In the cortex and hippocampus the staining is sparse, only the neocortical layer V neurons exhibit more intense (moderate) staining.
Plexus choroideus cells are immunoreacitve.
