Metastasis-suppressor protein 1 is generally widespread across several organs, although it exhibits highest RNA levels in cerebellum in human, pig and mouse tissue. In mouse, in particular, moderate-strong intensity immunostaining of the cerebellar Purkinje-cells and their complex dendritic network in the molecular layer is seen, together with numerous neurons in the olfactory bulb rostral migratory path. In addition, weak diffuse/synaptic-type immunostaining is noticed in few thalamic and hypothalamic regions.
