Very dense axonal network is strongly immunostained in the glomerular layer of the olfactory bulb, caudate putamen, central amygdala, thalamic paraventricular nucleus, medial geniculate nucleus, superficial layers of the superior colliculus, periaqueductal gray matter, locus-coeruleus-parabrachial region around the fourth ventricle.
Sparse weak-moderate intensity axonal immunostaining is noted throughout the entire brain.
Sparsed but stong cytoplasmic neuronal somatic immunostaining (seemingly a subset of interneurons) is noticed in the 'prefronal' cortical areas, piriform cortex, septum, ventral pallidum, nucleus of the horizontal limb of the diagonal band, anterior hypothalamus, throughout the tuberal hypothalamus.
Dense and strongly immunostained neuronal cell bodies are noticed in the tuberal hypothalamus (arcuate-, dorsomedial-, paraventricular- nuclei), as well as in the zona incerta, medial habenular nucleus, retromamillary nucleus, substantia nigra, ventral tegmental area, periaqueductal gray matter and multiple pontine-medullar nuclei.
