Moderate-intensity axonal and diffuse/synaptic immunostaining is noticed in the olfactory bulb external plexiform layer (superficial part), neocortical layers IV and VI, piriform and entorhinal cortices (all layers), amygdala and hippocampus CA2 region. In addition, a weak diffuse/synaptic-type staining is noticed in most forebrain regions. There is no or only extremely faint staining noticed in the brainstem, with the exception of the circumventricular organ area postrema that exhibits moderate-intensity immunoreactivity.
