Annotation summary Distinct positivity in multiple subsets of neurons. Cell bodies (cytoplasm) and neuronal processes are also immunoreactive. Basal forebrain, striatum, and the thalamus exhibit very strong staining. In the neocortex, subpopulations of immunostained neurons in the layers II., IV. and VI. are noticed. In the bulbus, the external and internal plexiform layers are selectively and strongly immunoreactive. Several brainstem nuclei and a subpopulation of Purkinje-cells in the cerebellum are selectively stained.
