Strong-intensity immunostaining is noticed in the soma and, less intensely, in the dendritic and axonal processes of sparsed neurons in some brain areas, like in the caudate putamen, anterior hypothalamus, vental pallidum, hippocampus, paraventricular and reticular thalamic nuclei, lateral hypothalamus and pirifom cortex. This pattern is noticed in high number of neurons in multiple amygdala nuclei (especially in the central and medial nuclei), in the cerebellar Purkinje-cells and in multiple distinct brainstem nuclei.
Weak-moderate intensity cytoplasmic neuronal somatic immunostaining is noticed throughout the brain in multiple subsets of neurons.
In addition, weak-moderate intensity diffuse/synaptic pattern immunostaining is noticed in several brain areas; it is more pronaunced in the caudate-putamen, hippocampus CA1-subiculum, substantia nigra and the cerebellar molecular layer.
