Stong-intensity nuclear immunostaining is noticed in a subset of neurons throughout the entire brain. The number of immunostained neuronal nuclei is especially abundant in the lateral septum, nuclei of the BNST, anterior hypothalamus, suprachiasmatic nucleus, thalamic paraventricular nucleus, media lamygdaloid nucleus, periaqueductal gray matter, dorsal gray matter of the medulla (inc. locus coeruleus-parabrachial region) and the cerebellar Purkinje-cells.
